As I become older and fatter I'm increasingly learning more about good food and good eating. I always appreciate a good meal, especially one that was prepared by good friends. The best part of eating spectacular food prepared by great friends is that you can pick up tips that will last you a lifetime.
For instance, ever since I learned my friend Dennis' simple and delicious family salad dressing recipe I've been making some pretty awesome salad's (if I do say so myself). I've learned a few other key ingredients to making any great meal as well, like TIME and ATTENTION.
Unfortunately I don't get to see my friends as often as I'd like. So in the hopes of keeping up with friends more and learning more tips about preparing great meals I've created this little blog. Hopefully my friends that actually know how to cook well will be the main contributors to this blog. Otherwise it will totally suck.
I talked to my good friend D about writing a book about his recipes and philosophy about food. Hopefully this blog will be a great place for him to start cranking out his ideas and getting some good feedback from our friends. Welcome to D's Food Tips and stayed tuned for some tasty updates.
